TaDa!

Prepare yourself....I've posted pictures! And I do too knit! ; ) I give you Sweet Mary's Twinkletoes! This is a modified version of Sweet Mary Janes, Erin (who created the SMJ pattern) helped me work it to fit my 5 year old daughter. So I married SMJs to Twinkletoes and came up with Sweet Mary's Twinkletoes! TaDa!

Leslie loves them and insists that she now needs a new ballerina dress to wear with them! Which, ya know, is totally correct! Um, that was sarcasm......

And here we have a pair of Sweet Mary Janes in the works for Leslie's teacher....shhh don't tell her. It's a surprise. I'm casting on another pair tonight for one of our crossing guards. These are "thanks you were great, goodbye we're moving" gifts. The other crossing guard is male so I'm gonna get out and pick up something nice to make him this. I'm also making some Sweet Mary's Twinkletoes for Leslie's little best girlfriend and her older sister! So I'll be busy with knitting and packing this week!

And last but not least we have my "poor neglected sock". I cast this thing on sooooo long ago! It has sat in it's project pouch waiting for some TLC. Poor thing. So, I'm working on it too this week.

That's it for now folks! Happy Knitting!!!

Dear Bad Fairies,

Please return my children. I know that you have hidden them away and have assumed their identities. You've been running through my house pulling out all their toys, drawing on the counters, and getting into everything you can get your hands on. You throw tantrums at bedtime and have not been saying please, thank you, and may I. You have pushed and shoved and tattled on each other until I can actually FEEL the grey coming out in my hair! My children would NEVER do these things. So please, I'm begging you, return my sweet and well mannered children to me before I go insane.

Sincerely,
Leslie and Davey's Mother

It was my first time!

Yes, I am not ashamed to admit that finally at the age of 28, I made Jell-O for the first time last night. It was an amazing and rather short experience. But first times can be that way! ; ) But it was oh so tasty today! I also recently made rice crispy squares for the first time!!! Can you believe the sheltered life I've led!!!

Aside from Jell-O we had an exciting night last night! We took Leslie to practice with the Valpo Vikettes. She, and other K - 2nd grade girls, will be preforming at halftime at this Friday's basketball game! It's just so cute and crazy. I did this when I was little and I was a Vikette (flag girl) in high school! We took a ton of pictures, if any of them turned out I will post them! *crossing my finger here*

It also SNOWED yesterday and started to actually stick as the evening rolled in! By the time we left the high school we had at least a good 1 1/2 inches! Dave took me out to a far corner of the parking lot to practice driving. Several years ago I wrecked our little Ford Focus while driving in the first real snow of that year. I have been VERY VERY afraid of driving in snow ever since. I'm talking if I get stuck driving in snowy conditions I'm balling! I am seriously afraid. SERIOUSLY. So last night Dave had me drive a little bit with Bullet (our Durango) in 2wd and then he had me switch to 4wd. OMG I am NEVER buying another vehicle without 4wd! It's a world of difference. Since I was feeling pretty confident I drove us all home! Yay me!

On the knitting front I am working on the heel flap of my sock. I'll post a pic or two as soon as I can!

Happy Knitting Folks! Thank you, that is all!

The Silver Bullet!

First I'd like to say.....Can you believe it! I posted pictures!!!!!

I'd like to introduce the newest member of our family. In keeping with the Lambert family tradition, we name all our cars, this is The Silver Bullet, Bullet for short. He is a 2001 Dodge Durango 4x4 and I love him! God, do I love him!

And here we have Miss Thang! Leslie with her new do, a bob! Doesn't she look cute and sweet. It's all an act, really! ; ) She is not feeling to well tonight, the dreaded cough has hit again! UHG! She is very excited about The Silver Bullet! She says "It's very comfortable!"

And here we have Davey, aka Little Man. Don't let that docile smile fool you, he is trouble with a capitol T! He likes Bullet very much cause it's a truck! Don't try to tell him it's an SUV, he's NOT havin it!

I have to say 2007 is off to a really good start. I hope I haven't just jinxed myself by saying that! But lets just look at the year so far......

-Moving to a nice big apartment at the beginning of February!
-Apartment is getting ALL new carpetting!
-Bought a WONDERFUL new car....truck....whatever!

Yay 2007!

Happy Knitting! Thank you, that is all!

New Resolutions Revised and New Book

Hey all! Okay so Happy New Year and all that. How many checks have you written with 2006 on them? Hehehe I do that every year. So far this year so good! So down to business, here is what I'm pretty sure is my final list of resolutions, um, at least for the time being!

~Get organized, seriously I am the Queen of Clutter.
~Get Motivated, I am also Her Majesty of Procrastination.
~Learn to have more patience.
~Get a sewing machine and learn how to use it. Without sewing through my finger, yes I actually did that in middle school Home Ec.
~Learn how to make jewelry.
~Learn how to spin my own yarn.
~Organize and catalog my knitting supplies and yarn, as well as my other crafty supplies.
~Finish the cross stitch witch I started a couple years ago!
~Start and finish a knitted blanket for Dave.
~Knit something super special just for myself, I don't know what that will be yet. Hmmmm?
~Finish up with my Belavi Facelift Massage certification.
~Get the family involved in some sort of activity we can all participate in.....horses, atvs......?

I think that's a pretty good list! Wish me luck!

I started a new book yesterday. Dave went to the local Barnes and Noble and he ASKED if I wanted anything. I have to say he's a good guy. Ya know, not many men will pick up their wife a romance novel. Or especially a romance/erotica novel! Hehehe! The last time he picked anything up for me the people behind the counter poked fun at him! Hahahaha! Anyway, Dave brought me home "Prince of Ice" by Emma Holly. He made sure everyone knew it wasn't for him. They said "of course it isn't" ; )~

Happy New Year, Happy Knitting! Thank you, that is all!
